Hello,

My name is Trans Perry, and I’m the founder and chief operator of Transition Development. When I decided to start this company my vision was to not only renovate, design, and construct new homes, but to play an even bigger part in building communities. 

My beginnings were humble. In 2010 I renovated my first rental property in the Cleveland-Holloway area. I remember long nights putting my heart and soul into every detail of that project. But, it paid off because just as soon as the home was completed it was sold. I stuck to that process and by the end of my first year I renovated and sold over 6 properties. 

Fast forward to the present, and we’ve renovated or built over 30 homes in the city of Durham and beyond. Adding services like custom construction and design consulting, I’m proud to say we’ve become a driving force for change in the effort to rebuild the community. But make no mistake, we have no plans on stopping here. 

The future of Transition Development is bright. We are expanding our development reach into newer communities and taking on more commercial projects. The company is also behind a growing list of commercial ventures that aim to uplift and unify Durham, including our Durham Green Flea Market. 

However, no matter much we grow, we will always stay true to our mission and vision to restore and preserve the sense of community that helps us all TRANSition into brighter tomorrows. Be on the lookout for Transition Development sign on a property near you. You’ll probably see me there too, working like it’s day 1.
